This tool allows you to take a proactive step in managing your behaviour by restricting access to your BetWright account for a set period—6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years or 5 years.

Self-Exclusion is designed to support individuals who recognize the need to take a break from gambling in order to regain control. It is a serious commitment intended for those who wish to stop gambling due to concerns about their wellbeing, financial health, or personal circumstances.

If you wish to take a temporary break from gambling for reasons unrelated to gambling harm, you may instead want to consider using the Time-Out feature or opting for Account Closure, depending on your needs.

What Happens When You Choose Self-Exclusion?

Once you activate a Self-Exclusion:

  • Your account will be suspended from all betting and gaming activity for the duration of the exclusion period.
  • You will still be able to log in to withdraw any remaining funds, but you will not be able to place bets or access gambling products.
  • Your account cannot be reactivated for any reason during the exclusion period.
  • We will take all reasonable steps to identify and prevent the creation of any new accounts you might attempt to open during this time.
  • You have the flexibility to choose which areas of the site you want to restrict, such as Sports, Casino, or both.

Taking Additional Steps

To strengthen the effectiveness of your Self-Exclusion, we recommend the following actions:

  • Remove BetWright from your device notifications, and delete or uninstall all related apps and software.
  • Unfollow and block BetWright on social media platforms to reduce exposure to gambling-related content.
  • Seek support from professional problem gambling services, which can offer guidance, counselling, and tools to help you through your journey.

How to Self-Exclude

You can activate Self-Exclusion through the Limits & Responsible Gambling section of the Account Menu. Simply select the self-exclusion period and click 'Save'.
